Tethered Jailbreak: Each time your device loses battery power or needs to be rebooted, you must attach it to a PC or Mac to boot into the jailbroken state. It is highly recommended to wait for an untethered jailbreak.
Untethered Jailbreak: Your device can loose battery power an be freely rebooted without having to attach it to a PC or Mac to boot into the jailbroken state.

To know which model iPod/iPhone you have (MB-model or MC-model), open the Settings application, then go to “General”, then “About”. The first two letters of your model number will tell you what type you have (MB or MC).[/stextbox]
